Clione & Beartank from Rakuga Kids, by Konami.

A bit unorthodox, Beartank’s closest comparison would probably be Guilty Gear’s Faust. The kind of character that excels at constantly throwing your opponents off balance, I guess. He’s also quite the combo king.

If Beartank seems familiar but Rakuga Kids doesn’t, you might recognize him from his nifty cameo in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, or possibly from the underrated Konami Krazy Racers.

Female women warriors of the Japanese upper class are known as onna-bugeisha (女武芸者). They are members of the bushi (samurai) class in feudal Japan who were trained to use weapons to protect their, honor, family, and household from enemies. Many of them were widows, wives, daughters, and even rebel women who engaged in battle beside samurai men.
